Michael Buchmiller
mike@handcarvedgraphics.com
When Michael isn't drawing for fun, he's drawing for money. He lives in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego, California with his girlfriend of six years, Rachel Bradley. He's 28 years old, and his favorite color is purple. Or maybe teal. I hear he likes that really deep red too. Actually he likes them all.
He has a B.A. in English from San Diego State University and A.A.s in Liberal Arts, English, and Graphic Communication from various San Diego community colleges. Some people might say he collect them like baseball cards. Not him though. He would never say that.
Michael grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and enjoys Vienna beef hot dogs, pizza, mexican food, music, art, and movies. But not in that order.
To this point in his life, he's been editor of a music magazine, directed a television show, been the music director at a radio station, started a clothing company, toured the country with a band, been threatened by the estate of Louis Prima, had his artwork in galleries and museums, been interviewed on Canadian radio about his views on the Smurfs, taught college classes, read his fiction with a poet laureate, been the department head of toys at a drug store, and designed a car for Chrysler.
In the future, he would like to add to that list. |
